SUNY Canton Hosts 116th District Assembly Debate

Canton, NY (10/03/2018) — Candidates running for the 116thDistrict seat in the New York State Assembly will be participating in a debate at SUNY Canton.

Incumbent Addie Jenne (D-Theresa) and challenger Mark Walczyk (R-Watertown) have agreed to discuss their platforms and answer questions to help voters make informed decisions for the Nov. 6 general elections.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the debate is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, in the college's Kingston Theater. The event is free and open to the public. Media members are asked to RSVP by emailing pr@canton.edu to help plan for audio and visual needs.

A panel of area journalists will be moderating the debate. Members of the audience will have the opportunity to submit written questions for each candidate.
