SUNY Canton Hosts Local Entrepreneurs for Spring Lecture Series

Canton, NY (03/14/2018) — Four SUNY Canton alumni entrepreneurs will speak on campus as part of the Excellence in Leadership Lecture Series sponsored by Corning Incorporated Foundation.

Jeffrey J. Tubolino and Ike A. Cook, owners of Blue Line Engineering in Watertown, will speak at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 22 in Nevaldine Hall Room 102.

Tubolino, a 1996 alumnus, and Cook, a 1993 alumnus, are graduates of the Civil Engineering Technology program. Both are North Country natives and have more than 20 years of experience specializing in wastewater treatment design. They opened Blue Line in 2015.

Christopher C. Pitcher and Nicole M. LaRue, owners of LaRue & Pitcher Funeral Home in Ogdendsburg will speak at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 24 in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center Room 218-220.

Pitcher, a 2003 alumnus, and LaRue, a 2004 alumnus, are both originally from Ogdensburg and graduates of the Mortuary Science program. They opened their business in 2016 and are committed to providing compassionate, professional and affordable service to their clients.

The Excellence in Leadership Lecture Series connects working professional alumni who are experts in their fields with current SUNY Canton students. The program is presented by the Canton College Foundation and the SUNY Canton President's Office.
