SUNY Canton Hosts Two-Day American Red Cross Blood Drive, September 23-24
Canton, NY (09/18/2026) — Appointments are available for SUNY Canton's two-day fall blood drive.
The American Red Cross is scheduling appointments from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 23 and 24 in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center, room 212. Prospective donors are encouraged to schedule a donation through the American Red Cross website or through the Blood Donor App.
The American Red Cross recognized SUNY Canton as one of its Premier Blood Partners for 2025, according to the college's Director of Wellbeing Programs & Initiatives, Farren Lobdell.
"Giving blood is a simple way to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others," Lobdell said. "SUNY Canton is proud to stand behind the lifesaving work of the Red Cross and provide an opportunity for our campus community and neighbors to come together in support of those in need."
The donation process takes about an hour, and donors will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice for participating. Blood donations are used in lifesaving medical procedures. One donation can save up to three lives.
