SUNY Statewide Financial Aid Training Available Nov. 17

Canton, NY (11/07/2018) — Representatives from both SUNY Canton and SUNY Potsdam will be providing a hands-on training session to help students and families maximize financial aid.

The SUNY Statewide Financial Aid Day, which includes an informational session and workshop, will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. Registration will be in MacArthur Hall's Halford Lobby and workshops will be held in Wicks Hall Rooms 006 and 008 at the SUNY Canton Campus. Parking will be available in lot 5.

This program is being offered to answer questions about financial aid and provide assistance with filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms online. It also will provide an overview of New York's Excelsior Scholarship program and its requirements.

Both area State University of New York colleges cohost the free event for students planning to attend any state or private college. Those interested are encouraged to register for the event in advance through SUNY's Financial Aid Day Website or by calling 1-800-342-3811. Walk-ins will also be welcome.
