SUNY Canton Announces Summer Admissions Events
Canton, NY (06/12/2025) — The SUNY Canton Admissions Office is hosting a number of upcoming information events designed for prospective students and families.
"We want to make it as convenient as possible for guests to visit campus, so we have several options that allow families to fit us into their busy schedules," said SUNY Canton Executive Director of Enrollment Melissa J. Evans.
Extended Virtual Hours
The Admissions Office hosts extended virtual hours every Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Those interested in learning more about the campus and discussing college plans can sign up to speak one-on-one with an admissions counselor at https://admissions.canton.edu/portal/roosdaytuesday.
Saturday Visit Days
Two Saturday Visit Days will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 14 and Aug. 9. These condensed events are designed to assist guests with application and enrollment steps. Tours will be available and are led by current students. To register, visit https://www.canton.edu/admissions/saturday.html.
Summer Splash
The college's annual signature summer event is Summer Splash, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26. Summer Splash combines campus tours and information sessions with recreational activities like kayaking.
The day's agenda includes discussions with admissions and financial aid representatives, as well as a question-and-answer session with the president. Complimentary lunch will be provided, followed by a kayak excursion on the Grasse River and outdoor games. Register at https://admissions.canton.edu/register/SummerSplash.
"Summer is a wonderful time to visit campus, and we like to take advantage of the beautiful weather to showcase our location and scenery," said Evans. "We have a mix of informative and fun activities that the whole family can enjoy."
