Tau Phi Zeta is an exclusive honor society for Veterinary Technology students. SUNY Canton students were inducted on Oct. 17, coinciding with National Veterinary Technician week.

The SUNY Canton chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma criminal justice honor society welcomed 50 new members during the past academic year.

SUNY Canton proudly inducted 27 new members into the Tau Phi Zeta honor society during the spring 2015 semester. Tau Phi Zeta recognizes the academic achievement, scholarship, leadership, character and professional excellence of students enrolled in the college's Veterinary Science Technology and Veterinary Technology programs. To qualify for induction, students must achieve at 3.5 GPA.

SUNY Canton students were recently recognized for their academic excellence through their induction into the Lambda Eta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Phi Theta Kappa was formed in 1918 and has become the largest and the most prestigious honor society serving associate-level students around the world. As members, students must maintain a high grade point average and stay involved with the community through service-oriented projects. Induction into Phi Theta Kappa is among the highest honors available to undergraduate students. Associate degree students are encouraged to continue their studies in one of SUNY Canton’s bachelor’s degree programs. Among the Spring 2009 inductees were:
