An aspiring engineer and president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) student chapter at SUNY Canton received a Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence.

A student who is earning both a two and four-year degree from SUNY Canton received the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence during a special awards ceremony held April 5 in Albany.

SUNY Canton is recognizing its part-time student population for their academic achievements during the fall 2015 semester. Part-Time Honors are awarded to students who earned at least a 3.25 GPA in 6 to 11 credits of course work.

The Deans of SUNY Canton's three schools are recognizing more than 500 students for their exceptional academic success during the fall 2015 semester.

Students are being recognized for their outstanding achievement at SUNY Canton during the spring 2015 semester. More than 450 students made the President's List by earning a GPA of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

The SUNY Canton College Foundation recently announced its student scholarship recipients for the 2015-2016 academic year. In total, the foundation distributed more than $302,000 in the form of 265 scholarships granted to approximately 195 students. More than 60 percent of those scholarships were given to students from St. Lawrence County.

SUNY Canton proudly inducted 27 new members into the Tau Phi Zeta honor society during the spring 2015 semester. Tau Phi Zeta recognizes the academic achievement, scholarship, leadership, character and professional excellence of students enrolled in the college's Veterinary Science Technology and Veterinary Technology programs. To qualify for induction, students must achieve at 3.5 GPA.

Danbury, CT - In her first week as a collegiate runner Samantha Smith (Mooers Forks, NY) has been named the Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Upstate Women's Cross Country Rookie Runner of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday evening.
